The patients are left with a red to pink coloration of the skinwhich slowly fades over approximately a 12 week time span.

Non-ablative laser skin resurfacing is one of the newest and, perhaps, most exciting of the aesthetic laser procedures. Non-ablative means that the epidermis or outer layer of the skin is not removed by the laser during the procedure. Thus, no healing of the skin is required after the procedure. Patients can go back to work or about their normal activities immediately after treatment.. On the other hand, non-ablative skin resurfacing treatments require a series of treatments. The changes which can be realized include improvement of pigmentation and spider veins, softening of wrinkles and scarring, and an overall improvement in the tone and texture of the skin. These changes can be maintained with follow-up treatments on a less frequent schedule.
